The purpose of the Steering Committee is to oversee the program and the progress toward the goals of SD INBRE. This committee consists of the SD INBRE PD/PI, SD INBRE PC, liaisons from the 10 partner institutions, core facility representatives, a COBRE representative, and a liaison from South Dakota State University.
The purpose of the Mentor Approval Committee is to select faculty mentors to conduct research that aligns with the goals of SD INBRE. This committee consists of the SD INBRE PD/PI, the SD INBRE PC, and thirteen representatives from the the Executive Committee. The committee is designed to have at least one member from each of the ten partner institutions and one member representing each Research Match Core Performance Site.
The purpose of the Student Research Program Approval Committee is to select students to conduct research that aligns with the goals of SD INBRE. This committee consists of the SD INBRE PD/PI, the SD INBRE PC, and ten representatives of the Executive Committee. This committee is designed to have at least one member from each of the ten partner institutions and one additional member from the University of South Dakota Honors program.
The purpose of the Research Match Core Approval Committee is to advance projects that match Research Core resources with the goals of SD INBRE. This committee consists of 6 voting members; the RMC director, the SD INBRE PD/PI, and the site leaders for each core facility performance site.
By working closely with the AC, DRPP, and the RMC, the Data Science Core (DSC) will be able to assess and prioritize individual project needs related to data management, sharing, analysis, dissemination, and training. This committee consists of 5 permanent voting members on the DSC Approval Committee; the DSC Director, the RMC Director, The Library DSC Representative, the RMC Bioinformatics Performance Site Leader and one member of the DSC staff.
